The Petrochemical Facility was a retrofit of an existing large combustible liquid tank farm which stores refined oil products and ethanol. It is a leading distributor of motor fuels in the United States. The fixed foam systems within the tank farm incorporated a complex design to deliver foam solution to the tanks as well as monitors located throughout the facility to combat liquid pool fires inside the diked areas. Rapid Fire Protection’s design incorporated fire pumps and a custom ILBP (In Line Balance Proportioning) foam skid to deliver foam solution to protect critical assets and hazards throughout the terminal.
