Shop Manager position in the Denver Area

Location: Denver, CO

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities:
The Shop Manager position would include but not be limited to the following:
  • Inventory Management
  • Material Purchasing
  • Truck and Tool Inventory
Job Qualifications:
  • 5 yrs of experience in fire sprinkler or similar industry
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience and basic knowledge of Microsoft software
  • Self-motivated
  • Capable of heavy lifting, 50 lb. min.
  • Mechanical aptitude for pipe fitting and fabrication

Fire Sprinkler Service Foremen to Join our Denver Team

Location: Denver, CO

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret structural and fire protection blueprints.
  • Perform cutting, fitting, and pipe joining using a variety of hand tools.
  • Accurately complete required daily paperwork.
  • Strong communication with the Service Department team.
  • Adhere to OSHA standards and Company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all types of systems including dry pipe, wet pipe, pre-action, deluge, foam, fire pumps and standpipes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications:
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Denver sprinkler fitter license and a State of Colorado Sprinkler fitter license.
  • Must have eight (8) years of verifiable fire sprinkler fitter experience.
  • In addition to regular work schedule, must be available to work occasional weekends, nights, and overtime including rotation on an emergency on-call list.
  • Demonstrate clear understanding of troubleshooting, maintenance and repairs of all types of systems including dry pipe, wet pipe, pre-action, deluge, foam, fire pumps and standpipes.
  • Must have ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
  • Must have working knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
  • Must have a working knowledge of all applicable NFPA standards.
  • Must have knowledge of equipment safety and proper lifting techniques.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment and periodic drug screening and background checks.
  • Must maintain valid driver’s license and clean Department of Motor Vehicles report.
  • Able to work on ladders, scaffolding and lifts or elevated surfaces up to 100 feet in height.
  • Able to lift a minimum 50 pounds.
  • Must have ability to work in high places, cramped quarters and in inclement weather.
  • Must have professional appearance and attitude, and superior communication skills with a strong focus on customer service.

Industrial and Special Hazards Fire Sprinkler Project Manager

Location: Rapid City, SD

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities:
  • Project Manage all types of water-based fire sprinkler and special hazard systems including daily oversight of designers and subcontractor management
  • Pre-construction coordination with owners, EPC firms, general contractors and subcontractors
  • Assist in overall system layout and design, ensuring compliance with local, state and national codes and standards as well as look for value engineering opportunities
  • Material buyout and product selection
  • Scheduling and manpower coordination with both office and field personnel alike
  • Document control, contract scope review and maintaining records of the project for both current and future use
  • Communication and attendance of weekly design and project management meetings
  • Cost management including identifying changes to the project scope that impact costs as well as ensure change orders and billings are submitted and paid in a timely manner
  • Assist with development, suitability and implementation of Risk Hazard Analyses
  • Site survey, onsite commissioning and owners training
  • Foster strong working relationships and rapport with customers, clients, subcontractors and colleagues
Job Qualifications:
  • NICET II or higher in Water-Based Systems Layout and/or Special Hazards Systems
  • Demonstrated competency with AutoSPRINK and AutoCad preferred experience
  • 5+ years of industrial fire suppression experience
  • Working knowledge of fire alarm systems preferred
  • Self-motivated and able to fluidly handle multiple tasks and projects congruently
  • Works well with others in a team atmosphere
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • TWIC, MSHA and OSHA certifications preferred
  • Engineering degree or similar applicable degree from a technical school or college preferred
  • Ability to travel overnight and work out of town with frequency
